One-and-a-half day Safari in Tsavo East National Park

Day 1 - Mombasa - Tsavo East (152 miles/4 hours): after an early breakfast, you will set out for Tsavo East National Park (7,456 square miles). Once in the park, the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand with the wind in your hair. Welcome to Africa, the safari has begun! Keep your eyes peeled to have a chance to observe the great herds of buffalo, elephants, zebras and impala. Masai giraffes and hippopotami also roam Kenya's largest national park.

You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, afterwards you can enjoy some free time to relax before leaving for your afternoon safari. Return to the lodge at sunset.

Overnight stay at Lion Hill Lodge or similar on full board (drinks not included).

Day 2 - Tsavo East - Diani: the next day, early morning safari to observe the waking fauna, then return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterwards, you take the road back to your four-star Diani Sea Resort hotel.

Two-and-a-half day safari at Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks

Day 1 - Diani - Tsavo West (230 miles/5 hours): after an early breakfast, you will set out for Tsavo West National Park (7,456 square miles). Once in the park, the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand with the wind in your hair. Welcome to Africa, the safari has begun! Later in the afternoon, safari in the park and then return to the lodge at sunset.

Overnight stay at Lion Hill Lodge or similar on full board (drinks not included).

Day 3 - Tsavo East - Diani: the next day, breakfast at the lodge before heading back to your four-star Diani Sea Resort hotel.

Three-and-a-half day Safari at Tsavo West, Amboseli & Tsavo East National Parks

You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, afterwards you can enjoy some free time to relax before leaving for your afternoon safari. Return to the lodge at sunset.

Overnight stay at Rhino Valley Lodge or similar on full board (drinks not included).

Day 2 - Tsavo West - Amboseli (124 miles/4 hours): after breakfast, departure for Ambolesi National Park. If the weather is fine, you will have the chance to see Kilimanjaro. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Return to the lodge at sunset.

Overnight stay at Amboseli Sentrim Lodge or similar on full board (drinks not included).

Day 3 - Amboseli - Tsavo East (81 miles/2 hours): after breakfast, departure for Tsavo West National Park. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, safari in the park and then return to the lodge at sunset.

Overnight stay at Lion Hill Lodge or similar on full board (drinks not included).

Day 4 - Tsavo East - Diani: the next day, enjoy breakfast at the lodge before heading back to your 4-star Diani Sea Resort hotel.

Further information

During the safari, you will enjoy a small bottle of mineral water per person, per safari day.

The order and itinerary of the stay, as well as the accommodation during the safari, may need to be modified in case of unavailability. If necessary, similar lodges will be provided as replacements.

Children aged 3 and over are accepted on safaris.

Prices for park fees and other charges are subject to change without notice. You will be informed of any possible increase.

Upon arrival at the hotel, our local representative will provide you with dates and further information about the safari.

Please note that your safari will take place during your stay at the hotel. You will have to check out of the hotel before leaving for the safari. We advise you to bring an overnight bag for the safari; your suitcase will be placed in the luggage storage area by the hotel's concierge service.

Transport to the safari site is by bus. The safaris are by minibus with a maximum of 8 people and an English-speaking driver/guide.

Tips for the guides are not included, please allow about €6 per person per day.

If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis.
